Is it permissible for a mother to favor her son over her two daughters in giving gifts, knowing that she designated for him the building granted to her by the state, and refused to allocate a room in it for her two needy daughters?

A mother is not permitted to favor some of her children over others in giving, due to the established prohibition from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, against injustice in giving and his command to be just between children. Justice in giving, according to some scholars, means equality among them, based on his saying, peace and blessings be upon him: "Be equitable among your children in giving." Others hold that a female should be given half of what a male is given. However, it is permissible to favor some children over others in giving when there is a need.
