What should be done with a wife who is uncomfortable listening to the Quran or religious lessons?

Listening to the Quran and religious lessons brings comfort and tranquility to the souls of those with sound hearts, as Allah Almighty says: "Those who believe, and whose hearts find satisfaction in the remembrance of Allah: for without doubt in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find satisfaction." As for the heart darkened by sins, it shies away from good, and may even reach a state of aversion to the remembrance of Allah, as stated in His Almighty saying: "And when Allah Alone is mentioned, the hearts of those who do not believe in the Hereafter shrink with aversion, but when those [idols] other than Him are mentioned, immediately they rejoice."

Therefore, it is recommended to treat this dangerous phenomenon by adhering to the Quran, morning and evening remembrances, sincere repentance, observing prayers on time, staying away from sins and the company of those who commit them, listening to music, and looking at forbidden things. By doing so, the heart will be illuminated by the light of guidance, and the aversion will gradually disappear.
