Is henna obligatory, recommended, or disliked for women, given that there is a saying that the Messenger commanded it, and despite the husband's dislike of its smell?

It is commendable for a woman to dye her hair with henna. This commendability is further emphasized if the husband desires her adornment with henna. However, it must be concealed from non-mahram men. The majority of scholars hold that it is disliked when there is no need for it. If the husband dislikes henna, then his obedience is obligatory, and disobedience to him is forbidden, because obedience to him is obligatory in matters that do not involve disobedience to Allah.
