Is the virtue of supplication between the Adhan and Iqamah achieved if I supplicate outside of prayer, or if I perform the obligatory prayer and supplicate in my prostration, and what did the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, do?

A woman who prays her obligatory prayer between the Adhan and Iqamah of the mosque-goers, and supplicates in her prostration, is hoped to have her supplication answered. It has been authentically reported that supplications are not rejected between the Adhan and Iqamah, and that the gates of heaven are opened and supplications are answered at the time of the Adhan.

It is best for a Muslim to supplicate after repeating what the Muezzin says, sending blessings upon the Prophet, and asking for the Wasilah for him. Then, one should pray two rak'ahs between the Adhan and Iqamah and strive in supplication, as this time is one of the times when supplications are answered.
