What is the ruling on childhood vaccines if they are extracted from impure substances like pig's blood and pus, and is it permissible for parents to give them to their children, taking into consideration the noble Hadith: "Allah has not made the cure for my Ummah in that which is unlawful for them"?

Vaccination (immunization) makes the body produce antibodies to resist diseases, and it does not inherently cause diseases. The ruling on vaccination depends on the materials used in it and their effects, and it is divided into four categories:

1. Permissible and Beneficial Materials: Permitted; in fact, they are among Allah's blessings and contribute to eradicating epidemics. It is considered a form of treatment, and there is no harm in introducing a mild detriment to the body to ward off a greater one.

2. Permissible Materials that are Harmful or Not Beneficial: It is not permissible to consume them due to the harm they contain.

3. Forbidden or Impure Materials that have Undergone Transformation (Istihalah) into Permissible Ones: It is permissible to consume them because transformation changes the ruling, making them permissible for use.

4. Harmful or Forbidden Materials, whose benefit is not certain, and which are medically disputed: It is not permissible to consume them due to the possibility of exposing oneself to destruction and diseases, and because their harm is certain without certain benefit.
