What is the ruling on eating sea lions, penguins, giraffes, kangaroos, sharks, and large crabs? What are the conditions for knowing whether they are halal or haram? And is eating uncooked fish and meat haram?

We have previously explained the rulings on the meat of some animals, such as the sea dog (seal), giraffe, kangaroo, shark, and crab, and we have favored their permissibility.

We also clarified the scholarly disagreement regarding eating raw meat and favored its permissibility if no harm is apprehended.

As for the penguin, it is an amphibious, non-predatory bird, and the default ruling for animals is permissibility unless there is evidence prohibiting their consumption. Therefore, there is no objection to eating penguin meat.
