Disobedience to parents (ʿuqūq) is a heinous sin and one of the major grave sins. It is not permissible to assist in acts of disobedience to parents, and whoever assists in it is sinful. However, their sin does not reach the level of the one who directly commits the act of disobedience. Strive to advise your nephew, encourage him to be dutiful, and warn him against disobedience to parents.
