Is it permissible for a Muslim to have a pig's artery implanted for heart treatment if no alternative is available?

The animal from which an organ is intended to be transplanted into a human is either pure or impure. If it is pure—such as slaughtered livestock—there is no objection to transplanting an organ from it into a human, due to the generality of the evidence that permits treatment with what is permissible. If the animal is impure—such as a pig or a carcass—the general rule is that it is forbidden to benefit from it due to its impurity, unless the patient is in a state of necessity and finds no pure alternative. In such a case, there is no objection, as Allah Almighty says: "But whoever is forced by necessity, neither desiring it nor transgressing, there is no sin upon him."
