Is it permissible to pray the funeral prayer aloud, and what is the evidence for that?
The Sunnah is to read and supplicate silently in the funeral prayer, and we do not know of any difference of opinion among scholars regarding this. One should not recite anything after Umm Al-Qur'an (Surah Al-Fatihah). Ibn Abbas recited Surah Al-Fatihah aloud to teach them.
