Is it permissible for the Imam to recite aloud the Qur'an and the supplications mentioned when performing the funeral prayer?

Recitation in the funeral prayer is to be silent, not audible, based on what was narrated from Ibn Abbas, who recited Umm al-Qur'an (Surah al-Fatihah) audibly to teach the people that this is how it is done. What the Imam did by reciting audibly is contrary to the Sunnah, unless he intended thereby to teach. In any case, the prayer is valid.
