What is the authenticity of the the Hadith: "Then he brought forth a black progeny as if they were coals of fire," and does it mean that those with black skin are in Hell?

This narration regarding the creation of Adam and his progeny, described as (white and black), varies in authenticity, with some scholars deeming it weak, others fair, and some authentic.

Even if we assume its authenticity, the description of "blackness" does not refer to skin color in this world, because faith and piety are the criteria for entering Paradise or Hell, not skin color. The Quranic verses and Prophetic Hadiths affirm that the most honorable of people in the sight of Allah are the most pious among them, and there is no superiority for an Arab over a non-Arab, nor for a red-skinned person over a black-skinned person, except through piety.

Rather, this "blackness" refers to the ultimate fate of the progeny in the Hereafter, where the faces of the disbelievers, the unjust, and the wicked will be darkened on the Day of Judgment, as stated in the Almighty's words: ﴿On the Day when some faces will turn white and some faces will turn black﴾, and ﴿And on the Day of Resurrection you will see those who lied about Allah their faces darkened﴾. So, the blackening here is a result of disbelief, lying about Allah, and accumulating sins and wickedness.
