Is the large wrap that a woman drapes around herself, which is opaque, not sheer, and loose, considered an innovation (bid‘ah) instead of the khimar sewn from the front, even if she adheres to the complete legal hijab and covers her face and hands?

A woman is commanded to wear the hijab as an emphasized command. This command becomes even more emphasized when there is an abundance of fitan (trials/temptations). The description of the শরعي (Shar'i) hijab is defined by conditions. The Sharia did not prescribe a specific method for sewing the hijab; rather, Allah Almighty entrusted this to custom (urf). There is no harm in fulfilling the command of hijab through the use of a طرح (tarh – head covering/shawl) or other means that meet the required Shar'i conditions, provided that it is not a hijab of fame that attracts attention.
