What is the validity of the doubts raised about the Islamic religion, especially concerning the Christian creed, the role of the disciples, the infallibility of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) from polytheism, and the reality of the torment of the grave?

Doubts creep into the heart of a believer, and this is natural, for Satan seeks to cut off the path of those who are journeying to God. In refutation of the doubts raised:

1. The backwardness of Muslims is due to their deviation from God's methodology, and the progress of others results from adopting material means, which does not mean God's pleasure with them.

2. Jesus, peace be upon him, did not say: "I am God," and the Gospels do not mention that. In fact, the term "Son of God" was applied to others besides the Christ. The Gospels lack an unbroken chain of transmission (isnaad), so it is not valid to build a creed upon them.

3. The disciples died before the advent of Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, but a small number of Christians remained upon the true religion. Therefore, it is not advisable to take an understanding of the Gospel from priests.

4. Freedom from obsessive thoughts is achieved by resorting to and supplicating God. We recommend reading the book "Izhar-ul-Haq" by Rahmatullah al-Hindi.

5. His, the Almighty's, saying: ﴿And uncleanliness, shun it!﴾ does not necessitate that the Prophet was involved in what was prohibited; rather, it is an command to persist in shunning it, or an affirmation of a general principle for the Ummah.

6. The torment of the grave is among the matters of the unseen that are not subject to the laws of this world. The narration about the lightening of the grave's embrace for Fatima, the mother of Ali, may God be pleased with her, is among the matters of the unseen that we believe in without delving into their details.

7. Whether Iblis was an angel is a matter of scholarly disagreement.
