What is the ruling on a husband traveling without his wife's consent to a country for work?

A husband may travel and be absent from his wife for six months or less, even without her permission. However, he is not allowed to be absent for more than that period except with her permission, based on what was narrated from Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that he set a limit of six months for people in their military expeditions.
