What is the ruling of Islamic law regarding a husband who deceives his wife, breaks his promises, violates agreements made between them, then harms her by insulting her and invoking curses upon her, and wishes to house her in a single partitioned home despite their disagreements?

A wife must obey her husband and treat him well. The husband is not obligated to provide a separate dwelling with its own facilities if the current dwelling suffices. As for promises, it is recommended for the husband to fulfill them, but it is not obligatory. The husband must treat his wife well and refrain from cursing and swearing by divorce. In case of disagreement, the Sharia courts are specialized in resolving disputes.
