Adultery is one of the most heinous sins, but Allah accepts sincere repentance, which entails abandoning the sin, regretting it, and resolving never to return to it, while also concealing one's own transgression. As for the lineage of the child, the child's lineage is attributed to the man even if the marriage was invalid or if there was no intention of permanence with the intercourse. The child's lineage is established by intercourse that is based on a misconception.
