What do you say about the incident of a woman possessed by a jinn, who threatened her family not to go to the sheikhs, and demanded that they buy gold before disappearing? And is the family's action of not going to the sheikhs and buying gold correct?

The possession of a human by a jinn is a known and real occurrence, as evidenced by religious texts, including Allah's saying: (Those who consume interest will not stand [on the Day of Resurrection] except as one stands who is being beaten by Satan into insanity), and the Hadith of the black woman who used to have seizures.

It is not permissible to respond to the jinn's demands for gold or anything else, as that would increase its domination.

The woman's family must present her to a healer who uses legitimate Ruqyah (incantations) and not magic, even if he is a man, provided a mahram is present and her awrah (private parts) are covered.

The Qur'an expels jinn, and the woman should increase her acts of obedience, worship, and remembrances, and recite specific verses over water for drinking and bathing.
