What is the ruling regarding a person who claims to have had sexual relations with the plaintiff's wife and describes the plaintiff as a pimp, given that the plaintiff trusts his wife and wishes to kill the claimant?

Exposing a Muslim brother to slander and falsehood is a major sin. If a man's false accusation of a chaste Muslim woman committing adultery is proven, this is an act of qadhf (false accusation of unchastity) which necessitates the punishment of eighty lashes and the rejection of his testimony, unless he repents. As for accusing a Muslim of being a "pimp," this requires ta'zeer (discretionary punishment) and discipline from the ruler. Such actions usually come from foolish individuals, and they should not be given attention. Instead, the authorities should be informed to deal with them in a way that deters them. Killing is not a solution to this problem; rather, it increases the tribulation. It is advised not to be drawn into such nonsense. One must follow the example of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, in his patience with harm, as he imposed the prescribed punishment on those who slandered his wife Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, and he did not kill anyone.
