What is the ruling on speaking to one's parents sometimes without looking at them, knowing that they do not mind it?

As long as the parents are not bothered by this act, then it does not fall under the forbidden disobedience. However, observing good manners with them and doing what pleases them and brings joy to them is more befitting.
