Is it permissible to lend money to a friend who works in tourism to cover the expenses of his studies at a tourism guidance institute, and is there any participation in sin in that?
It is known that working in the field of tourism is often fraught with evils and temptations from which it is rarely free. And it is from the perfection of Islamic Sharia that if it prohibits something, it also prohibits what leads to it, for the means have the same rulings as the ends. Therefore, it is not permissible for the questioner to lend money to his friend if he is certain that it will be used in this field, due to the Almighty's saying: "And do not cooperate in sin and aggression," and due to the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Whoever introduces a bad practice in Islam will bear its sin and the sin of those who act upon it after him, without any decrease in their sins."
