How do we respond to those who say that Muslims converted churches into mosques, as happened with Hagia Sophia, especially regarding the Church's exploitation of a legal loophole to purchase the Mosque of Cordoba?

The assault by the Christians of Spain on the Mosque of Cordoba is a calamity that grieves every Muslim, yet it necessitates patience, reliance on Allah, and steadfastness in the religion of Islam. For Allah sent the prophets with the true religion and sealed the messages with the message of our Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him.

The entire earth belongs to Allah; He bequeaths it to whomever He wills among His righteous servants. Muslims rightfully own it and have the authority to manage it according to Allah's word.

Places where others worship besides Allah are divided into three types:

1. Those found in lands not conquered by Muslims: Muslims have no authority over them except through a path approved by their inhabitants. 2. Those found in lands conquered by Muslims through peace treaties: Muslims allow the People of the Book to maintain their places of worship in such lands. 3. Those found in lands conquered by Muslims through war: All their places of worship belong to the Muslims, who may dispose of them as the ruler deems beneficial, such as Andalusia and Constantinople.

The difference between Muslims and others is that Muslims possess the true religion, while others possess a false religion. For Allah is their Protector, and none other has a protector.
