Is it permissible to buy a church in the state of Georgia and convert it into a mosque after removing the crosses and images from it?

It is permissible to purchase churches and convert them into mosques after removing crosses, images, and everything that indicates they were churches. The proof for this is the hadith of Talq ibn Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, who pledged allegiance to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. The Prophet commanded him to convert a church in their land into a mosque after demolishing it and sprinkling its place with water from the Prophet’s ablution. It is not necessary to demolish the structure completely; rather, its roofs and walls can be utilized after making the necessary architectural modifications to orient the rows towards the Kaaba and remove all manifestations of polytheism.
