What is the ruling on stipulating that the intention of divorce must be explicit in order to get rid of obsessive thoughts, while wishing for divorce? Is it permissible to marry another woman? Is the wife entitled to prevent her husband from marrying a second wife? Is the marriage valid if the wife threatens to leave the house? Is she entitled to demand a divorce after her husband marries another woman, knowing that he is unhappy with her?

The covenant you made, promising not to intend divorce with any indirect phrase, will not benefit you if you intend divorce in the future using one of these phrases. What is obligatory is to turn away from whisperings (waswas) and not pay attention to them, seeking Allah's help and supplicating frequently.

As for marrying another woman, there is no impediment to it if you are capable of bearing the expenses of marriage and being just between the two wives. It is not your wife's right to prevent you or demand divorce merely because you marry again, unless she stipulated in the marriage contract that you should not marry another, in which case she would have the right to annul the marriage.

And the continuation of love and harmony between spouses requires patience, overlooking faults, and focusing on the good aspects.
