Is it permissible to place shoes in front of worshippers to prevent someone from passing in front of them?

There is no harm in placing clean sandals as a sutrah for the worshipper, to prevent people from passing in front of him. The Shafi'is, Hanbalis, and one narration from the Hanafis have affirmed the permissibility of drawing a line, based on the hadith of Abu Hurayrah: "If one of you prays, let him place something in front of him. If he does not find anything, let him set up a stick. If he does not have a stick, let him draw a line, and what passes in front of him will not harm him." This hadith was authenticated by Ahmad and Ibn al-Madini, while others deemed it weak. Placing a clean sandal or something elevated from the ground is more appropriate.
