Is the verse of the fidyah in Allah's Almighty saying, "And upon those who are able to it [but with difficulty] - a ransom [as substitute] of feeding a poor person" abrogated?

The exegetes differed regarding the verse: "And upon those who are able to tolerate it [is] a ransom [of] feeding a needy person" (Quran 2:184), between abrogation and immutability. Some held that it was abrogated by the verse: "So whoever sights [the new moon of] the month, let him fast it" (Quran 2:185), which made fasting obligatory for the resident who is healthy. Others, however, maintained that it is immutable and not abrogated, and that its meaning is "And upon those who are unable to tolerate it," i.e., those who are incapable of fasting, such as the elderly, the sick, the pregnant, and the breastfeeding woman, upon them is the ransom. The more probable view is that the verse is immutable, evidenced by its context within the rulings for those unable to fast, and by the recitation of some Companions, "يُطَّوَّقُونَهُ" (yutaṭṭawaqūnahu), meaning they undertake it with difficulty despite inability, which confirms that the ruling applies specifically to those who cannot fast.
