What is the ruling on a husband who neglects prayer, is addicted to khat and believes it is not unlawful, does not spend on his wife, lies to her, and forsakes her in bed?
You should supplicate for your husband's guidance.
Prayer is a great pillar of Islam, and abandoning it has severe consequences.
It is advisable to admonish the husband and remind him of Allah and His punishment. If he repents and commits to prayer, his situation may improve.
If the husband persists in abandoning prayer, it is recommended to separate from him through divorce or khul'.
Financial support () is obligatory upon the husband, and if he falls short in it, he is sinful. It is permissible for the wife to take what suffices her and her children from his money without his knowledge.
If the wife does not find money, she should refer the matter to the responsible authorities.
The ruling on qat differs, and it is necessary to continue advising the husband to abandon it.
It is not permissible for the husband to abandon his wife except for a legitimate religious reason.
