How should one rely on the hands on the ground when rising from prostration?

Scholars differed on how to rise from prostration to the second rak'ah. A group of scholars, including Malik, Al-Shafi'i, and Ishaq, held that one should rise by leaning on the hands, based on the hadith of Malik ibn Al-Huwayrith in Al-Bukhari. It was also narrated that Ahmad used to do this. It has been narrated from the Salaf of the Ummah that they leaned on their hands, but no specific manner for placing the hands has been reported in the Sunnah. The hadith of "kneading" (al-ʿajin), which describes placing the hands as a kneader does, was narrated from Ibn Abbas and Ibn Omar, but Sheikh Ibn Baz deemed it weak, indicating that it is known not to be authentic. Al-Haytham ibn Alqamah, the narrator of the "kneading" hadith, is unknown. As for Al-Haytham ibn Imran, whom Al-Albani considered to be the intended person, his reliability was not explicitly affirmed by anyone except Ibn Hibban.
