What is the difference between "they lead you astray" (يضلوك) and "they lead you astray" (يضلونك), and why were "they lead you astray" (يضلوك) and "they harm you" (يضرونك) used in verse 113 of Surat An-Nisa, despite the existence of other examples like "they want to turn you back" (يردونكم) and "they want to turn you back" (يردوكم)?

The difference between "yudilluka" (they mislead you) and "yadurrunaka" (they harm you), and similar forms, lies in the omission of the letter "nun" from the first due to it being in the نصب (nasb/accusative) or جزم (jazm/jussive) case, and its retention in the second due to it being in the رفع (raf‘/nominative) case and free from the agents of nasb and jazm. The imperfect verb (المضارع) in the five verb forms (أفعال الخمسة) — يفعلون (yaf‘alūna), تفعلون (taf‘alūna), يفعلان (yaf‘alāni), تفعلان (taf‘alāni), تفعلين (taf‘alīna) — is in the raf‘ case with the presence of the nun, and in the nasb or jazm case with its omission.
