Must prayers be made up with every obligatory prayer, or can the prayers be spaced out? Do the remaining prayers drop after death with the intention of making them up? Are prayers made up on behalf of the deceased? And should one begin by making up prayers for oneself or for others?

Whoever missed obligatory prayers must make them up immediately upon remembering them, to the best of their ability, and in the order they were missed. It is not obligatory to make them up with every (current) prayer, but rather as one is able. It is not prescribed to make up prayers on behalf of the deceased, as this obligation falls away from them upon their death. Therefore, whoever owes missed prayers should make them up for themselves, and it is not prescribed for them to make up what is due from the deceased.
