The list written at the time of marriage (nikah) contract is a record of the furniture and furnishings the husband provides to his wife, to document and preserve her right in case of separation. There is no harm in writing it if it is customary, as it prevents disputes and restores rights. The husband should not commit to what he cannot afford and should only write down what he has actually provided. As for the marriage contract itself, it is valid if it fulfills its conditions. The wife should appreciate her husband's circumstances and not burden him beyond his capacity, and she should not lie to her father about her work, knowing that she is not obligated to inform him about her work or her financial assistance to her husband, nor is she obligated to spend on him unless he is in need. If she works in nursing, she is not permitted to mix or be in seclusion with non-mahram men. If she travels to him, she must travel with him or with a mahram of hers.
