What is the ruling on fortifying children morning and evening by saying: "We have entered the morning - and in the evening, we have entered the night - and sovereignty belongs to Allah. I seek refuge for you with Allah, who holds the heavens from falling upon the earth except by His permission, from the evil of what He created, originated, and made"? And is this supplication among the prayers mentioned in the morning and evening remembrances?

Al-Suyuti mentioned a hadith (definition) narrated by Ibn al-Sunni with the wording: "Indeed, if you say three times when evening comes: 'We have entered the evening, and the dominion has entered the evening for Allah, and all praise is due to Allah. I seek refuge with the One who holds the sky from falling upon the earth except by His permission, from the evil of what He created and originated, and from Satan and his polytheism (shirk (definition)),' you will be protected from every devil, soothsayer, and sorcerer until morning. And if you say it when morning comes, you will likewise be protected until evening." Al-Tabarani narrated a similar wording in Al-Awsat. Al-Haythami said about its narrators: "They are trustworthy, though there is some disagreement concerning some of them." Although there is some discussion regarding the chain of narration of this hadith, it is lenient in the chapter of virtues, and there is no harm in seeking refuge with it and teaching it to children for protection.
