How does Islam permit the marriage of a Muslim man to a Christian woman, even though she is an infidel and cursed?

The answer does not accept the premises or the conclusion. The first premise, that Christian women are accursed, is incorrect because cursing is specific, and it is not permissible to describe a particular person as such except with a sound text. The door to repentance is open, and it is not possible to definitively assert that a person is cast out from Allah's mercy. Allah forbade His Prophet from cursing specific disbelievers. As for the second premise, that marriage to an accursed woman is illogical, it is not accepted because cursing relates to a person's fate in the Hereafter, while marriage is a worldly relationship whose ruling is not affected by the righteousness or corruption of the spouse. The Prophet (peace be upon him) dealt with the Jews through buying and selling, and the rights of fatherhood and sonship are not affected by differences in religion. Based on the foregoing, the conclusion that it is illogical to marry a Christian or Jewish woman is incorrect; the Sharia (definition) did not forbid it. Marrying a woman from the People of the Book is among the merits of Islam and often leads to their being influenced by the religion of the husband and children.
