Is it true that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, made a peace treaty with the Jews for half of Medina's dates?

Umar ibn al-Khattab expelled the Jews and Christians from the land of Hijaz, following the action of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who had intended to expel the Jews from Khaybar after it had become for Allah, His Messenger, and the Muslims. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, had permitted them to remain in Khaybar in exchange for half of its produce, until Umar expelled them to Tayma and Jericho.
