My brothers: How can a servant seek forgiveness through action?

Among the righteous deeds that expiate sins are: seeking forgiveness (istighfar), prayer (salat), fasting (sawm), Hajj, Umrah, supplication (du'a), charity (sadaqah), and patience in the face of calamities.
