Does zakat apply to the following: a) A plot of land purchased ten years ago, not for immediate need, and potentially to be built upon for a son? b) A salon set, furniture, and a safe exceeding one's needs? c) An amount set aside for Hajj, exceeding the zakat threshold, while awaiting one's turn?

There is no on purchased land unless it was acquired with the intention of trade, nor on furniture and personal belongings if they were not bought for trade or as a means to evade zakat. As for money paid to the Hajj authority, there is no zakat on it as long as it has left the owner's possession.
