Is a university student's request for an allowance from his father, while secretly keeping a small amount, considered blameworthy, and likewise, his asking a classmate to photocopy his notebook, or asking for directions in a new city, or consulting a healer who does not charge money?

The father's spending on his poor children is estimated according to need and sufficiency in a reasonable manner. The son is permitted to save whatever he wishes from it. It is forbidden for the son to ask his father if he has enough, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever asks people for abundance is only asking for live coals." However, if what he has is not enough, then there is no blame in asking him. As for a student asking his classmate, or a sick person asking a doctor, this is not blameworthy asking; rather, it is taking lawful means.
