Is a mature, unemployed son's request for money from his father to cover university fees, photocopying, and similar expenses considered a forbidden form of begging?

Asking people for money is prohibited unless there is a necessity or need. However, it is permissible for someone in need to ask, as stated in the hadith narrated by Samurah ibn Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him), where the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Asking [for money] is a scratch with which a man scratches his face, unless he asks a ruler, or in a matter which there is no alternative." Scholars have unanimously agreed on the prohibition of asking if there is no necessity.

It is permissible for a needy person who cannot find enough to suffice himself and is unable to earn a living to ask people for only what covers his needs. As for someone who is not needy or is able to earn a living, it is not permissible for him to ask, and what he takes is unlawful for him.

There is no harm for a son to ask his father for money if he is in need of it, and a son asking his father is easier than asking the general public.
