What is the ruling on a divorce contingent upon doing something, if the wife says, "I did such and such"?

A conditional divorce takes effect if the husband becomes aware of the action on which the divorce was conditioned, or if his wife informs him that she has performed it. However, if the wife states that she did not perform the action and the husband is unaware of it, the divorce does not take effect. If the divorce takes effect, the husband may reconcile with his wife before the expiry of her iddah (waiting period), unless this divorce completes the three divorces. The iddah ends with her purification from the third menstrual cycle after the divorce, or after three months for a woman who does not menstruate, or by giving birth for a pregnant woman. Conditioning divorce is disliked because it exposes the marital relationship to collapse.
