It is permissible to quote news and materials from websites, whether verbatim or in meaning, and from one source or more, provided that the source is attributed if the website stipulates it or if it is customary to do so. It is also permissible to profit from creating a website for transmitting news, while observing attribution where required, and adhering to any legitimate conditions set by the original news sources; due to the generality of Allah Almighty's saying: (O you who have believed, fulfill [all] contracts) (Al-Ma'idah: 1) and the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Muslims are bound by their conditions."
