Does wearing long trousers that extend to the heels affect the purity of one's clothes for performing prayer in the mosque?

Lowering the garment below the ankles is forbidden, and one must purchase garments that do not extend beyond the ankles. However, if a Muslim is unable to do so out of necessity, there is no sin upon him, especially since most jurists do not consider lowering the garment forbidden unless it is done out of arrogance. Prayer performed in such a garment is valid, unless it has been defiled by impurity; in which case, prayer with it is not valid until it is washed or changed. The garment is originally pure unless its impurity is certain.
