Is someone who commits a sin that warrants a curse – being ignorant of it, then repenting after becoming aware of it – considered cursed during the period between committing the sin and repenting from it?
Whoever commits something forbidden, knowing it is forbidden but ignorant of its punishment, will be subject to the punishment and is not excused by his ignorance of it. This person was therefore deserving of every threat associated with his disobedience before repentance. And whoever repents, Allah will accept his repentance, and every deserved threat will be removed from him, and he will return as one who never sinned, thus not deserving any punishments in this world or the Hereafter.
