Whoever becomes aware of an objectionable act committed by a girl must advise her, for advice is part of religion. This should be done by reminding her of Allah and His punishment, and by explaining the corruptness of her action, all with gentleness and leniency, and in private. If she responds, then praise be to Allah. If she persists, she can be threatened with informing her guardian, or her guardian can be informed directly, as he is responsible for her upbringing. The Shariah guidelines must be observed when speaking to a non-mahram girl.
