Is there a sequence in intelligence and memory, and can a person develop them? And why has the desired outcome not been achieved despite the effort exerted in exams? And what are the verses to be recited before studying and taking an exam?
The most important factors that strengthen memory are piety towards Allah by obeying His commands and avoiding His prohibitions, along with diligence, perseverance, repeated memorization, and consuming plenty of raisins and ginger. The success or failure of a person, and everything that befalls them, is predetermined by Allah. However, Allah has established causes for these destinies. Thus, striving does not necessitate achieving success if Allah has not decreed it. This does not contradict Allah's justice, for He does not wrong anyone even an atom's weight; rather, He fulfills it and multiplies good deeds. There are no specific verses to be recited at the beginning of lessons or exams.
