Revocable divorce is when a man divorces his wife for the first or second time, and he has the right to take her back as long as she is within her waiting period (iddah).

The husband must financially support his revocably divorced wife during her waiting period, unless she is disobedient (nashiz). He must also provide for his young child who has no wealth. The divorced wife may take her own maintenance and her child's maintenance from the husband's property if he refuses to spend.

If the husband takes his wife back, he must fulfill her rights, including maintenance and housing. He is not permitted to leave her in suspension. He must provide a separate dwelling suitable for the wife's circumstances.
