Why does the donkey bray in Ramadan despite the devils being chained, knowing that its braying indicates its seeing the devil, as was narrated from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him?

It is authentically established in the sound Sunnah that a donkey brays when it sees a devil. This does not contradict the chaining of devils in Ramadan, because chaining means restriction and not a complete prevention of movement or harm. Chained devils may still cause harm, but in a weaker manner than outside of Ramadan. Furthermore, a donkey's braying is triggered simply by seeing a devil, whether the devil is chained or not. These unseen matters are believed in by a Muslim without delving into their details.
