Does the atheist father of a girl have guardianship over her in the marriage contract to a Muslim man?

It is permissible to marry a chaste Christian woman, but on condition that the Muslim husband has authority over her and over his children from her, and provided that he does not fear that his children will be compelled to apostatize in the country where he lives. It is preferable to marry a Muslim woman. The guardian of a Christian woman is whoever among her agnates is of her religion. It is not permissible for an atheist to be her guardian. If she has no Christian guardian, the Muslim judge or the director of the Islamic center may marry her.
