Is it obligatory to inform friends who mocked the religion that they must utter the Two Testimonies again, knowing that they may not accept that?

Mocking and ridiculing a well-known tenet of the religion is an act of disbelief (kufr) that expels one from the fold of Islam, based on the Almighty's saying: (And if you ask them, they will surely say, "We were only conversing and playing." Say, "Is it Allah and His verses and His Messenger that you were mocking?" Make no excuse; you have disbelieved after your belief.) The duty of anyone present in a gathering where mockery occurs is to condemn it or leave; otherwise, they become complicit, based on the Almighty's saying: (And He has already revealed to you in the Book that when you hear the verses of Allah being denied and ridiculed, then do not sit with them until they engage in another conversation. Indeed, in that case, you would be like them.) Mockery contradicts the veneration of religious rites. Whoever falls into this must renew their faith by uttering the two testimonies of faith (Shahadatayn) and sincere repentance.
