What should one do if they joked with words that mocked a ruling from the rulings of Islam, and it is not clear to them whether they intended to mock or not? And do they have to utter the Two Testimonies and perform ghusl?
The questioner did not mention her statement to determine whether it constitutes apostasy or not. However, mocking the rulings of the religion is an act of deliberate disbelief, as Allah says: "Say, 'Is it Allah and His verses and His Messenger that you were mocking?' Make no excuse; you have disbelieved after your belief." (Quran 9:65-66). Cursing Allah or mocking Him, or His verses, or His messengers, is an act of disbelief, whether done in jest or seriously. Whoever enters Islam with certainty does not leave it except with certainty. One must be cautious of (polytheism) without falling into excessive scrupulosity. There is a difference of opinion regarding the (ritual bathing) of an apostate.
