What is the ruling on bleaching eyebrows, and does it prevent water from reaching them during ablution, and is it considered an adornment or a matter of doubt?

Highlighting the eyebrows is permissible under certain conditions, including that it is not a deception of the suitor, and that it is not an imitation of disbelieving or immoral women. If the highlighting leaves a layer that prevents water from reaching the eyebrows, then ablution (wudu') is not valid, because removing the substance that prevents water from reaching [the skin] is a condition for the validity of ablution. Refraining from highlighting is better as an act of piety, based on Al-Kharashi's definition of the most pious person as "one who abstains from some permissible acts, and it is more befitting for him to abstain from doubtful ones."
