There is no objection to the fiancée uncovering her face for the suitor, and she is not obliged to refrain from doing so before he is overwhelmingly certain of her acceptance, for his looking at her is permissible. Some scholars have gone so far as to say that it is recommended to inquire about beauty first, then about religiousness. The suitor is permitted to look at her without her knowledge, but it is advised that she not refrain from uncovering her face for him.
